Terms of use
Greg's Mail Backup is private desktop software operated by Greg Burns for personal email backup. These pages explain that use; they do not offer a public hosted backup service.
Authorised accounts
The software is used only with accounts the operator owns or is authorised to manage. Each Google account must explicitly consent to the requested Gmail permission. A backup grant is read-only and does not authorise sending, deleting or modifying Gmail messages.
Operation and storage
The operator controls the computer, configuration, schedules, credentials and destination OneDrive account. Backups are subject to the configured retention and source-deletion policies described in the privacy policy.
The operator is responsible for protecting stored copies, managing the third-party accounts and checking that backup and recovery procedures meet personal requirements. Google and Microsoft service terms apply to use of their respective services.
No public account service
This website has no registration or payment function and accepts no email or backup uploads. Visiting it does not grant the operator access to a visitor's Google account.
Ending use
The operator may stop scheduled backups and revoke Google access at any time. Ending access does not automatically remove existing local, OneDrive or exported copies; those copies must be managed separately by the owner.
